# sk184666 - Spark Firewall WebUI does not display PPPoE connection status on non-WAN ports on appliances running R81.10.17

## Symptoms

- * When a PPPoE connection is configured on a port other than WAN (for example, DMZ or LAN), the Home \> System page in the WebUI does not display the port status as "Up" or "Connected."

* The PPPoE connection is successfully established and the status appears as "Connected" on the Device \> Internet page.

* When the port is set to Static IP or DHCP, the Home \> System page displays the correct status.

## Cause

The backend logic in the WebUI code only updates the Home \> System page status for PPPoE connections on the WAN port.
