# sk184652 - Identity Awareness enforcement issues in Scalable Platforms (Maestro and Chassis)

## Symptoms

- * Users cannot authenticate or access internal resources.

* Access Role enforcement fails.

* Data Center object-based policies do not match expected results.

## Cause

The issue is caused by the configuration of Identity Data Collectors (IDCs) in the Security Gateway object. Specifically:  

* A network object group was used instead of individual host objects in the IDC settings.
* This configuration caused non-SMO Security Group Members (SGMs) to establish IDC connections, resulting in:
  * Kernel table misalignment
  * Policy Decision Point (PDP) table inconsistencies
