# sk184626 - Appliance fails to join ElasticXL Cluster Due to Lightshot Partition Space Exhaustion

## Symptoms

- * A freshly installed system fails to join an ElasticXL cluster.
* The issue occurs on both Check Point appliances and OpenServer deployments.
* The file `/var/log/lightshot.log` contains the error message: `Lightshot Partition is out of space`
* In clish, the following command shows only a few kilobytes of free space:   
  `show lightshot-partition`

## Cause

During the ElasticXL join process, the Lightshot partition on the joining member runs out of free disk space, which causes the join operation to fail.
