# sk184622 - "Failed to send logs for X minutes" warning for a Check Point Firewall object in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- "`Failed to send logs for X minutes`" warning for a Check Point Firewall object appears in SmartConsole in these places:

* **Gateways \& Servers** view \> in the top panel, click the Check Point Firewall object \> in the bottom panel, click the **Alerts** tab.

* **Gateways \& Servers** view \> in the top panel, click the Check Point Firewall object \> in the bottom panel, click the **Summary** tab \> click the link **Device \& License Information** \> in the left panel, click **Device Status** \> in the right panel, refer to the section **Logging**.

Example message:

`Error: Failed to send logs for 26 minutes. Reason: refer to sk184622. Failed logs will be attempted to be sent at the next occurrence of the following schedule: every day at 00:00 (IDT)`

## Cause

This message means that the Check Point Firewall has been unable to send logs to the configured Log Server for the displayed number of minutes.

During this time, the logs are written locally to the disk on the Check Point Firewall. The locally stored logs will be forwarded to the configured Log Server according to the configured Log Forwarding schedule.

## Solution

Check the reason that appears in the warning message:
