## Symptoms

- * The Security Group Member (SGM) stops responding and goes down.
* The system logs show the SGM_PMD Pnote. `orch_stat` output on the Maestro Hyperscale Orchestrator (MHO) shows missing or down interfaces for the affected SGM.

## Cause

The SGM loses connectivity to the MHO.

This condition occurs when the SGM?to?MHO physical link, LAG configuration, or routing configuration becomes unavailable.

Typical reasons include:

* Faulty or loose fiber/copper cable
* Incorrect interface configuration on SGM or MHO
* Mismatched LAG or port?channel parameters
* Routing not aligned between SGM and MHO

This loss of connectivity triggers the SGM_PMD Pnote, and the SGM enters a down state.
