# sk184563 - Token generation in Smart-1 Cloud results in "A blocking validation error"

## Symptoms

- When generating a token in Smart-1 Cloud, the following error appears: "A blocking validation error occurred failed to read a certificate key file *opt/CPSuite-R8x/fw1/tmp/defaultCert_infokey.res.pki*".

## Cause

The issue occurs because the system cannot access the required certificate key file *defaultCert_infokey.res.pki* during token generation. This happens when the file is missing or unreadable.

## Solution

[Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.  

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:  

1. [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk92739) file from the Management Server involved in the case.
2. [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk92739) file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member / Security Group involved in the case.

### Workaround

Also, the following workaround is available:  

1. Delete the VPN certificate for the Security Gateway in SmartConsole.
2. Re-generate the connection token.
3. Reset Secure Internal Communication (SIC) token as needed.
