# sk184534 - Excessive log entries for RADIUS users logging into Gaia Portal

## Symptoms

- * When Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) users log in to the Gaia Portal on a Check Point Quantum Security Gateway running R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 98 or Maestro Orchestrator server running R82 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 39, the system generates more than 80 repetitive log entries per login in the `/var/log/messages` file

`httpd2: has_users_passwd_expired: failed to find info about $USER.`

These repetitive messages make it difficult to monitor other events.
* The issue affects all RADIUS users, not just a single account.

## Cause

The Gaia OS password expiration feature is designed for local users only.

When a RADIUS user logs in to the Gaia Portal, the system attempts to check the user's password expiration status. Because RADIUS users are not defined locally, the system cannot find the required information.

An issue in the log handling mechanism causes the system to write excessive messages.
