# sk184508 - Short Outages and High CPU Utilization on Maestro During Policy Installation When MDPS Resource Separation is Enabled

## Symptoms

- * Single Management Object (SMO) cluster state change to DOWN.

* Nodes reboot unexpectedly during policy installation.

* High CPU utilization on one CPU core, which is assigned to Management Data Plane Separation (MDPS).

* Error messages in the output of the `"# dmesg | grep Cannot"` command:  

  `Cannot set channels when Flow Director filters are active`

* ICE interfaces show only one hardware queue when MDPS Resource Separation is enabled.

## Cause

MDPS Resource Separation not supported with ICE driver on Maestro R82 and lower. See [sk138672](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk138672).
