# sk184483 - FWSSD unexpectedly exits and generates repeated core dumps on the Security Gateway when client authentication service is used

## Symptoms

- The Firewall Security Server Daemon (FWSSD) unexpectedly exits and generates repeated core dumps (files containing process memory for debugging) on the Security Gateway when client authentication service is used.

## Cause

The issue occurs due to a software condition in client authentication handling on R81.20 Security Gateways.

## Solution

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:
