# sk184410 - RAD Service Causes High CPU on Security Gateway

## Symptoms

- * The `"top"` command output shows that the RAD process is consuming high CPU on the Security Gateway, for example:

* RAD flows (see [sk183416](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk183416) for details) shows the error:  

  `"Response with wrong status code.."`.

* Clients receive error: `"Proxy Authentication Required, error 407"`.

* RAD cloud handlers (rad_io_0) threads spike CPU usage.

## Cause

A third-party proxy blocks Check Point Cloud service URLs, preventing RAD from completing authentication and causing flow errors.
