## Symptoms

- * The system does not generate syslog messages, alerts, or skyline notifications, when a power supply unit (PSU) fails or loses power on Quantum Security Gateways (models 16200, 26000) and Maestro platforms.

* Searches for "power" or "PSU" in the */var/log/messages* folder and on the syslog server do not return relevant results.

* Power outage tests do not trigger any PSU-related log events.

* There are no SNMP traps related to PSU failure in the environment.

## Cause

Gaia and Maestro platforms do not natively generate logs or syslog events for PSU failure or power-loss events.
