# sk184373 - Kerberos SSO sessions terminate immediately after a login via Captive Portal after upgrade to R82

| Products | Security Gateway |
| Versions | R82 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * After upgrading Security Gateways to R82, each Kerberos Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication through the Captive Portal appears as **Successful Login (Kerberos)**, but the session terminates within 1-2 seconds.

* SmartConsole shows this log from the Security Gateway for the failed SSO authentication:

`User Logout: A secondary session request was received from the same IP. This caused logout of the current session.`
* Debug of the Captive Portal ([sk102986](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk102986)) shows this exception in the `/opt/CPNacPortal/logs/NacPortal.log` file:

  `
Description: curl_error(): supplied resource is not a valid cURL handle resource`
  `
  Error Number: XXX`
  `
  File: /opt/CPNacPortal/phpincs/web/actions/SendSessionIdnAction.php (line XXX)
  `
* Reverting the Security Gateway to R81.20 restores normal Kerberos SSO functionality.
