## Symptoms

- * The gateway sent a second monthly report 15 minutes after the first scheduled report.

* No manual changes were made to the report schedule.

* System logs show that the `sfwd` and `wsdnsd` processes restarted before the duplicate report.

## Cause

There may be an issue with the NTP protocol which synchronizes the clocks of computers and devices across a network to a common, accurate time source and mitigates the effects of variable network latency. The resulting "clock skew" combined with process restarts caused the retry mechanism to resent the report.
