# sk184358 - DNS resolution intermittently fails on a specific Virtual System in a Maestro VSX environment

## Symptoms

- * DNS resolution intermittently fails on a specific Virtual System (VS) in a Maestro VSX environment.

* The `nslookup` command fails if you use it without specifying a DNS Server.

  Example:
  * Fails: nslookup f\*\*\*\*.us
  * nslookup f\*\*\*\*.us

## Cause

This issue occurs due to a condition in the per-VS DNS relay design.

## Solution

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.  
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:
