## Symptoms

- * The Network Time Protocol daemon (NTPD) appears as active on a Maestro Security Group, even though it is not expected to run on Maestro Security Groups.

* The output of the `grep ntpd /config/active` command shows:

  `process:ntpd t`

## Cause

NTPD was manually enabled during the initial setup or incorrectly pushed via a configuration template.
