# sk184284 - ClusterXL Active Member Unexpectedly Exits Due to CIFS Hash Table Defect

## Symptoms

- * The active member of a ClusterXL unexpectedly exited
* `fwk` and `dmd_run` repeatedly exited and generated core dumps.
* Log files (`fwk.elg`) contained numerous errors related to Common Internet File System (CIFS) operations, such as failed tree deletions and hash table update failures.
* The cluster operated normally between these unexpected exits.

## Cause

The issue occurs during CIFS parsing; concurrent access to common resources by both `fwk` and `dmd_run` processes, resulting in a crash.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
