# sk184267 - "Virtual System cannot be created: Failed to create Virtual System directories" error when creating a Virtual System in a Maestro environment

## Symptoms

- * This error appears when you try to create a Virtual System (VS) in a Maestro environment:

  `Virtual System cannot be created: Failed to create Virtual System directories`

  Note: Rebooting the Single Management Object (SMO) temporarily resolves the issue.
* The `$FWDIR/log/last_vsx_push_configuration.elg` file on the Security Group Member contains the errors below. (This file records the details and results of the most recent VSX configuration push operation from the Security Management Server to the VSX Gateway or Security Group.):

  `[VSX] + echo 'vsenv: operation failed, specified Virtual System ID does not exist.

  [VSX] vsenv: operation failed, specified Virtual System ID does not exist.

## Cause

The issue occurs due to a lock in the RAD process that prevents full cleanup of the Virtual System ID after deletion.

## Solution

The fix for this issue has been integrated in the followin versions:  
R82 Jumbo Hotfix Take 41  
R82.10
