## Symptoms

- * The upgrade from R81.10.10 or from a higher version fails when there is excessive number of network objects. The appliance either reverts to the previous version or becomes unresponsive.

* Forced upgrade to R81.10.17 leads to performance issues.

* Dr. Spark performance diagnostics command `'drSMB diag performance'` in Expert Mode shows thousands of network objects. In the WebUI, the Dr. Spark-Load fails to generate a report.

* High CPU usage causing slow gateway performance.

## Cause

A bug presented in R81.10.10 builds lower than 2980 caused IoT blade to automatically create multiple network objects in the database used for the IoT policy. Over a long period of time, this leads to thousands of accumulated network objects in the database resulting in high CPU usage and upgrade failure also in higher versions.
