# sk184196 - Memory leak on Security Gateway cluster members

## Symptoms

- * Continuous increase in memory usage on Security Gateway cluster members.
* Memory usage does not correlate with the number of connections.
* Long-lived connections are observed in the connections table.
* Cluster instability, including issues with ClusterXL Fullsync and Critical Devices (pnotes), requiring failover and reboots to restore service.

## Cause

In the Application Control Rule Base when an "any-any" rule is configured with long-lived connections, each packet match appends the application signature to the connection without verifying if the signature already exists, causing an ever-growing list of duplicate signatures.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
