# sk184173 - Harmony Endpoint Agent Installation Fails on Linux machines Due to 'noexec' Mount Option

## Symptoms

- * Harmony Endpoint agent installation fails using both online and offline installation packages.
* Error messages during installation include: `Failed to disable unit: Unit file sbalinux-update.timer does not exist` `Unable to install Anti-Malware. Please contact support.`
* The installer fails before it can generate debug logs.

## Cause

* The `/var ` mount on the affected Linux systems was configured with the `noexec ` option.
* This option prevents execution of binaries located in `/var/lib/checkpoint`, which is required for Harmony Endpoint Agent installation and operation.
* As a result, the installation process fails and cannot proceed to generate debug logs or complete the setup.
