## Symptoms

- * Amazon Linux machines running Harmony Endpoint security client automatically upgraded from version 1.18.16 to 1.20.7, despite the deployment policy specifying version 1.18.16.
* No upgrade action was recorded in audit logs or by administrators.
* Ubuntu Linux machines remained on their assigned versions and were not affected.

## Cause

A known issue in the Harmony Endpoint security client for Amazon Linux 2 caused the client to ignore the version specified in the deployment policy and auto-upgraded itself to version 1.20.7.

This behavior is specific to Amazon Linux machines and did not affect Ubuntu Linux clients.
