# sk184059 - Endpoint Security Client Installation Fails on macOS with Error: "An error occurred while running scripts from the package eps.pkg"

## Symptoms

- When you install the Harmony Endpoint Client on macOS, the installation stops and shows the error:   
**"An error occurred while running scripts from the package `eps.pkg`."**

## Cause

The installation fails when one of these conditions exists:

* The device already has the Harmony Browse client installed, which cannot coexist with the Endpoint Client.
* The macOS system contains previous Endpoint Security receipt files that prevent a clean installation.

## Solution

1. Check whether Harmony Browse is installed on the macOS device.
   * If installed, uninstall it.
2. If Harmony Browse is not installed:
   * Clear the Endpoint receipts by running these commands:
     * `sudo pkgutil --forget com.checkpoint.pkg.eps.fw`
     * `sudo pkgutil --forget com.checkpoint.pkg.eps.ac`
3. Retry the installation.
4. If the above steps do not resolve the issue:  
   1. Try installing the client again.
   2. Collect the `install.log` file located in `/var/log`.
