# sk184041 - magg0 port is missing from VSX object topology in SmartConsole after bonding mode change

## Symptoms

- * After changing the magg0 bonding mode from IEEE 802.3ad (Link Aggregation Control Protocol, LACP) to active-backup, the magg0 port disappears from the VSX0 object topology in SmartConsole.

* The magg0 port appears in the **Physical ports** list and in the output of `ifconfig`, but does not appear in the VSX object's topology in SmartConsole.

* Attempts to fetch or add the magg0 port via SmartConsole fail.

* There are no errors related to the port in the system logs, and the port is operational at the Operating System level.

* Example `ifconfig` output:

  `
  magg0: flags=4163` mtu 1500  
  inet xxx.x.x.x netmask xxx.xxx.xxx.x broadcast xxx.x.x.xxx  
  ... \<

## Cause

When the magg0 bonding mode was changed from IEEE 802.3ad (LACP) to active-backup, the Security Management Server did not update the **ports**field in the affected VSX object's database entry.

As a result, the magg0 interface was present on the Operating System but missing from the VSX object's topology in SmartConsole. This occurs when the **ports** field in the **network_objects** table of the Management database is missing or empty, typically due to incomplete synchronization after the bonding mode change.
