# sk184033 - Unable to Reassign Access Policy from Global Domain to Specific Domain After Blade Updates

| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk184033 |
| Date Created | 2025-09-18 |
| Last Modified | 2025-09-21 |
| Technical Level | General |
| Products | Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R81.10 (EOS), R81.20 |

## Symptoms

- * After updating security blades, a Multi-Domain Server (MDS) administrator cannot reassign the access policy from the Global Domain to a specific domain. Assignments for other domains succeed.
* This error message appears in MDS SmartConsole: `Global Domain Assignment Failed: Failed to save the access policy assignment properties.`
* Database queries show the assignment status for the problematic Domain as '`0`' (failed), while other domains show '`1`' (success).

## Cause

A database inconsistency exists in the Global Domain Assignment records for the domain. The required `GlobalPolicyChange` object is missing, which prevents the system from saving access policy assignment properties.
