## Symptoms

- The `"show ntp current" ` clish command returns `"Command is not supported"` error when executed on Elastic XL Scalable Flatforms and works fine on regular Check Point Security Gateways, for example:

## Cause

Scalable Platforms (SP) do not run a continuously active NTP daemon (ntpd). Instead, time synchronization is handled by the *cpd_sched_config* mechanism, which uses the *ntpdate* utility to periodically synchronize time over UDP port 123.
