## Symptoms

- * VPN connection may freeze or take a long time to establish.
* Routes are added to the physical interface unexpectedly.

## Cause

When split tunnel is enabled, the system adds exclusion routes to the physical interface. These routes are not removed upon disconnect, which leads to excessive route computation and may exceed the exclusion IP route list size.
