# sk183981 - "No process is on the other end of the pipe",  frequent Java exceptions and pipe errors in Identity Collector Service

## Symptoms

- * On the Windows server where Identity Collector is installed, frequent Java exceptions appear in the Identity Collector (IDC) *ia_ag.log\** log file:  
  `No process is on the other end of the pipe`  
  `Operation Timed Out`  
  The default path to the file is *C:\\Windows\\Temp\\ia_ag.log\**.
* On the Windows server where Identity Collector is installed, ServiceConnector errors appear in the *ia_ag.log\** log file. For example:   
  `Failed to write to named pipe, will try to reconnect`
