## Symptoms

- * Configuration changes made on the Single Management Object (SMO) via the WebUI are not cloned to Security Group Member 2 (SGM2).

* Configuration changes made in Clish (local mode) instead of gClish (global mode) do not propagate to all SGMs.

* Changes made via the Gaia WebUI or local CLI (such as port configuration or backup settings) do not appear on all SGMs.

* The output of the `config_verify -v` command contains these errors:

  `
  `Database inconsistent
  `
  `

  Configuration files inconsistent
  `
  `
* The system fails the "xfer files verification" step, indicating configuration file mismatches between SGMs.

* Local user password changes (for example, admin, emerg, reconcile) do not synchronize between SGM1 and SGM2. Users can log in to SGM1, but are prompted to change their password on SGM2.

* The issue occurs intermittently.

## Cause

When a configuration lock is acquired in one session (for example, CLI), the WebUI may continue to allow configuration changes without enforcing the same lock. Changes made via the WebUI without a proper configuration lock do not synchronize to other SGMs, resulting in configuration mismatches.

Additionally, configuration changes made in Clish instead of gClish are not designed to propagate across SGMs, which further contributes to the inconsistency.
