## Symptoms

- * On Maestro-VSX Security Group Members (SGMs), the power supply status intermittently appears as **Empty** in the output of the `show sysenv ps` command, even though the power supply is working properly.
  Example command output:

  ```
  Expert@SGM]# show sysenv ps
  Power Supply #1: Empty
  Power Supply #2: Empty
  ```

* The issue affects multiple Security Group Members and can affect one or both power supplies.
* After rebooting or reloading drivers, the status may temporarily appear as **Up** , but reverts to **Empty** later.
* Reloading the Power Management Bus (PMBus) driver or updating the monitoring RPM does not resolve the issue permanently.

## Cause

This behavior occurs due to a software problem in the power supply monitoring logic.

3. Verify the Fix

   On each Security Group Member, in Expert mode, run:

   `show sysenv ps`

   Confirm that the power supply status displays as **Up** for all installed power supplies.
