# sk183934 - CPINFO and CPVIEW fail to display hardware information on Check Point appliances

## Symptoms

- * CPINFO and CPVIEW fail to display hardware information on Quantum Appliances with SecureXL in UPPAK Mode and MDPS is enabled.
* The Sysinfo section in CPVIEW is missing hardware details, specifically the **Devices Type Slot Status Firmware** table.
* The `show asset network` command reports `Number of line cards: 0` and does not list any installed ports. Example command output:

  ```
  
     [Expert@hostname:0]# show asset network
     Number of line cards: 0
  ```

## Cause

SecureXL UPPAK mode interacts with the hardware abstraction layer in a way that bypasses kernel-level hardware queries. This prevents proper hardware enumeration by CPINFO and CPVIEW.

## Solution

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.

2. [CPinfo](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk92739) file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member / Security Group involved in the case.
