# sk183921 - Threat Prevention policy installation fails on a gateway

## Symptoms

- * Threat Prevention policy installation fails on a VSX Virtual System with this error:   

  ```
  Policy installation failed on the gateway. 
  If the problem persists, contact Check Point support 
  (Info: <8e5cebdd-1cc0-40d4-9639-69a52904f3b3>)
  ```

  <br />

* *$FWDIR/amw/tp_conf_current_policy* file is empty.

* *tp_conf_service* terminates after reboot on the problematic Virtual System.

## Cause

The `$FWDIR/amw/tp_conf_current_policy` file is empty on the affected gateway  

This file is required by the `tp_conf_service` process during Threat Prevention policy installation. If the file is missing or empty, the service terminates, preventing policy installation from completing.
