## Symptoms

- * A new Security Group Member joined the Maestro Security Group, but its state remains "DOWN" or "DETACHED".

* Manual policy synchronization and full synchronization operations completed successfully, but the state remains "DOWN" or "DETACHED".

* [sk183237](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk183237) did not resolve the issue.

## Cause

In the reported case, the directory with the Updatable Objects (`$CPDIR/database/downloads/ONLINE_SERVICES/1.0/`) was not copied from the SMO Security Group Member to the new Security Group Member.
