# sk183882 - Cannot edit "Action" or "Log" fields in the CP_Products_Bypass_Rule of the outgoing internet Access Policy

| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk183882 |
| Date Created | 2025-09-01 |
| Last Modified | 2025-09-01 |

| Versions | R81.10.X |
| Platform | 1570R, 1575R, 1500, 1900, 2000, 1600, 1595R |

## Symptoms

- * You cannot change the **Action** field in the `CP_Products_Bypass_Rule` of the Outgoing Internet Access Policy through the Web User Interface (WebUI). When you attempt to set the **Action** field to **Block** or **Ask** and then save, the value automatically reverts to **Accept**.

* You cannot change the **Log** field to **None**. Attempting to do so results in a System Error with the message:

  `Value is not valid.`
* The issue occurs on firmware R81.10.17 build 996004620.

## Cause

An issue in the WebUI logic for the auto-generated `CP_Products_Bypass_Rule` prevents correct editing of the **Action** and **Log**fields.

* The rule is designed to always allow application traffic, similar to a cleanup rule.
* By design, it s not possible to change the Action, but the WebUI does not properly restrict this, leading to misleading behavior and error messages.
