# sk183877 - Locally Managed Spark Firewall appliances running version R81.10.17 show a blank screen and policy creation failure when adding a URL to SD-WAN policy

## Symptoms

- * Locally Managed Spark Firewall appliances running version R81.10.17 show a blank screen and policy creation failure when adding a URL to SD-WAN policy.

* The corresponding Application (URL) object is created and visible in the **Users and Objects** page but the SD-WAN policy is not created.

## Cause

Custom URL/Application objects are not supported in Locally Managed appliances, only in Centrally Managed appliances.

The WebUI in Locally Managed appliances running version R81.10.17 showed an option to add URL objects even though this action is not supported. Attempts to perform an unsupported action resulted in a blank screen.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the [Latest/Recommended firmware](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk179615).

After upgrading, verify SD-WAN Policy Creation:

1. After upgrading, create a new SD-WAN policy using only supported objects.

2. Confirm that the policy is created successfully and the UI does not display a blank screen.
