| Products | Spark Firewall (Locally Managed) |
| Versions | R81.10.X |
| Platform | 1500 |

## Symptoms

- * In Locally Managed Spark Firewalls, when using an IPv6 bridge as the internet connection and configuring 'br0', the WAN port does not show as active in the 2D model port statistics on the Home tab.

* The WAN icon status is displayed incorrectly:

  * When the cable is disconnected, the WAN icon appears green (active).

  * When the cable is connected, the WAN icon is not shown (down).

* This issue occurs in firmware versions R81.10.17 build 4595, General availability (GA) and up to build 4689.

## Cause

When the WAN port is configured as part of an IPv6 bridge and set to obtain an address automatically (DHCPv6)/SLAAC), the WebUI misinterprets the WAN port status due to how dynamic IPv6 assignments are handled internally.

## Solution

1. Upgrade Firmware to R81.10.17 build 4697:

   1. Download the firmware from the [Check Point Support Portal](https://support.checkpoint.com/).

   2. Follow the documented upgrade procedure for your appliance model.

**Warning** - Rebooting a firewall may cause service interruption. Ensure a maintenance window and backup before proceeding.
2. Verify the WAN Status in the WebUI:

<!-- -->

1.
   1. Log in to the WebUI.

   2. Navigate to the **Home** tab and review the 2D model port statistics.

   3. Confirm that the WAN icon status matches the physical cable connection.
