## Symptoms

- User is not acquired by Full Disk Encryption when using Microsoft AutoLogon

## Cause

When using Full Disk Encryption (FDE) with Microsoft's AutoLogon feature, user acquisition may fail if the system logs in before establishing a network connection.

FDE requires the ability to retrieve the Security Identifier (SID) of the user during logon. If Windows login occurs before a network connection is available, the SID lookup may fail. This issue is common when using a DNS-based domain name in the AutoLogon configuration (e.g., contoso.com), which requires network connectivity to resolve domain information.
