| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk183825 |
| Date Created | 2025-09-14 |
| Last Modified | 2026-08-13 |
| Technical Level | Advanced |
| Products | Security Management Server, Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R82, R82 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * Setting or trying to show the automatic purge settings with the command "`mgmt_cli show automatic-purge`" fails with a "`duplicate objects`" error.

* Pre-Upgrade Verifier (PUV) fails with "`automatic purge verification`".

* Import or Upgrade fails when processing System Data domain with this error: com.checkpoint.management.coresvc.ValidationException: Automatic purge uniqueness violation

## Cause

Purge duplicates exist on the Management Server. The duplicates do not prevent the normal operation of Automatic Purge. However, they cause a validation error in the upgrade, which in turn causes the upgrade to fail.
