# sk183821 - Cannot change the SecureXL mode to UPPAK in a Maestro setup

## Symptoms

- * When you change the SecureXL Mode to User Mode (UPPAK) in a Maestro setup, these errors appear:

  ```
  
  SecureXL is running in KPPAK (Kernel Mode).
  
  (1) Change SecureXL Mode
  (2) Exit
  Enter your choice (1-2) : 1
  
  2_01]SecureXL User Space Mode is not supported with enabled IPv4 DOS rules
  [1_02]SecureXL User Space Mode is not supported with enabled IPv4 DOS rules
  [1_01]SecureXL User Space Mode is not supported with enabled IPv4 DOS rules"
  ```

* When you run the `fwaccel dos rate get` command, the output shows:

  ```
  
  No DOS/Rate Limiting policy rules found
  (0 rules found)
  ```

* This issue commonly occurs after a policy push and may result in the following SIM error: `state is NULL`

## Cause

UPPAK cannot be used simultaneously with DOS.

In some cases, even if DOS is not actively used, the system may interpret it as enabled, triggering the errors in the symptoms section.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:
