# sk183815 - After logging into the WebUI, the Sync port on a VSX cluster member shows a "down" status, causing one of the two nodes to fail

## Symptoms

- * After logging into the Web User Interface (WebUI), the Sync port (bond30) on a Virtual System Extension (VSX) cluster member shows a "down" status, causing one of the two nodes to fail.

* The WebUI displays both Sync and Sync2 ports as "No Link".

* ClusterXL status reports Critical Device (pnote) errors, indicating the inability to receive Cluster Control Protocol (CCP) packets on bond ports.

* Reboots and reconfigurations do not resolve the issue initially.

* Cluster members fail to synchronize, impacting High Availability and production deployment.

* Changing the cluster mode between Bridging and ClusterXL causes further instability.

## Cause

The issue occurs affects SecureXL operating in User Space Packet Accelerator (UPPAK) mode on VSX clusters running R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator (JHF) Takes 90 - 92.

SecureXL in UPPAK mode failed to properly recognize the bond30 Sync ports, resulting in a 'No Link' status and loss of synchronization between cluster members.

Kernel logs showed repeated `fwuser_uppak_update_if_info: fw_findifname failed` messages for the affected ports.
