# sk183772 - After upgrade from R81.20 to R82, the configured GRUB password is not accepted anymore on 19000 and 29000 appliances

## Symptoms

- After upgrade from R81.20 to R82, the configured GRUB password is not accepted anymore on 19000 and 29000 appliances.

## Cause

During the upgrade to R82 on 19000 and 29000 appliances, the user-defined GRUB password may be overwritten with the default password (which is never exposed to users).

## Solution

Configure the GRUB password again after the upgrade to R82.
