## Symptoms

- * Security Gateway / Cluster Member / Security Group Member during boot shows these lines on the console:

  `CKP: Loading SecureXL: [FAILED]`  
  `
  INIT: Sending processes the TERM signal`

* Security Gateway / Cluster Member / Security Group Member does not boot normally and enters the "`sh-4.4#`" shell prompt.

## Cause

The `$PPKDIR/conf/simkern.conf` file contains wrong configuration - wrong value for an integer kernel parameter.

Example - the integer kernel parameter expects only an integer value "0" or "1", but the configured value is not an integer ("1i"):

`sim_top_proto_enable=1i`
