### Do I need to upgrade UEFI proactively?

> No.

> **Best Practice** - We recommend to upgrade UEFI to the latest available version.

> **Important Note** - If a UEFI upgrade is required, a newer UEFI firmware version is integrated into Jumbo Hotfix Accumulators.

### How do I check the current UEFI version?

> 1. Connect to the command line on the Check Point appliance.

> 2. Log in.
>
> 3. Run the applicable command in your shell:

>    * In the Expert mode, run:

> If the UEFI was upgraded by a Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator, then even if you uninstall this Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator, the UEFI version remains.

### Will the UEFI upgrade cause downtime?
