# sk183696 - Gaia Portal Stuck on Loading Screen After Entering Credentials

## Symptoms

- * After entering valid user credentials, the Gaia Portal page becomes stuck and does not proceed to load.

* The log file */var/log/httpd2_error_log* shows:

  ```
   
  AH01215: stderr from /web/cgi-bin2/treenodes.tcl: Error: couldn't open "/etc/features.xml":
  permission denied, referer: https://10.1.1.1/XXXXXXX/cgi-bin/home.tcl
  ```

## Cause

Running the Dynamic Command Line Interface (Dynamic CLI) command:

`extendedCommand_xlate < /config/active ; dynamicCommand_xlate`

reverts the file permissions of */etc/features.xml* to incorrect values.

This behavior was introduced in a recent Skyline version.

Example of incorrect file permissions:

`[Expert@HostName]# ls -lh /etc/features.xml`  
`-rw-r----- 1 admin root 220K Jul 21 12:16 /etc/features.xml`
