# sk183691 - Ansible does not detect the change of the SNMP Agent version on a Gaia OS server

| Property | Value |

| Solution ID | sk183691 |
| Date Created | 2025-08-04 |
| Last Modified | 2025-08-12 |

| Products | Security Gateway, Security Management Server |
| Versions | R82, R81.20, R81.10 (EOS), R82, R81.20, R81.10 (EOS) |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * When using Ansible with the "`check_point.gaia.cp_gaia_snmp`" module to change the SNMP version on a Gaia OS server from "`v3-only`" to "`any`" (or vice versa), the Ansible PLAY RECAP shows "`ok=1`" but also shows "`changed=0`".

* The Gaia Clish command "`show configuration snmp`" on the Gaia OS server confirms that the SNMP Agent version was changed successfully.

* The Gaia API command "`mgmt_cli show snmp --context gaia_api`" on the Gaia OS server always returns "`version: any`", regardless of the actual SNMP Agent version configured on the Gaia OS server.

## Cause

Ansible uses Gaia OS API, which always returns "`version: any`", regardless of the actual SNMP Agent version configured on the Gaia OS server.
