## Symptoms

- * Endpoint Security VPN Client displays the following error message: "Connection to Check Point Server lost"
* \[tcpserver\] TcpMultiPipe::pipe_if_server_init: \[SEVERE\]: Failed to initialize SOCKET \[messaging\] messaging::init: Failed to initialize pipe
* According to process monitor log: - ArmouryCrateControlInterface.exe is actively listening on port 7778 - ASUS Armoury Crate Control Interface starts up and binds to port 7778 - Check Point TracService tries to start and bind to the same port 7778 - Windows returns error 10013 (WSAEACCES) because the port is already in use - TracService fails to initialize and shuts down immediately

## Cause

The Endpoint Security VPN is unable to load FirewallMonitor.dll file. This failure causes the VPN service to shut down. The FirewallMonitor.dll is required to communicate with the firewall component of the VPN client.
Additionally, port 7778 is already in use by the **Armoury Crate Control**application. The VPN client works after user terminates the process associated with this application.
