# sk183622 - "ntpd_intres host name not found: version" appears repeatedly in var/log/messages file

## Symptoms

- * The `/var/log/messages` file repeatedly displays this line: `ntpd_intres[xxx]: host name not found: version`
* The Gaia NTP configuration does not include a server named "version". The lines in the `/etc/ntp.conf` file, from which the NTP server name "version" originates, are as follows:

  `
  server version 3 `  
  `
  restrict nomodify notrap nopeer noquery 
  `

## Cause

The invalid lines in `/etc/ntp.conf` were created due to the following configuration in the `/config/active` file:

`ntp:server: <NTP server IP/Name>\:iburst`

There is space between "server:" and the NTP server IP.
