# sk183538 - Security Gateway freezes or crashes without generating a core dump, and "Global htab id 100020 out of range!" appears in $FWDIR/log/fwk.elg

## Symptoms

- * The Security Gateway may crash or freeze without generating a core dump file because of high CPU.

* The `$FWDIR/log/fwk.elg` file contains these messages before the crash / freeze:

  `kiss_ghtab_bl_nents_impl: Global htab id 100020 out of range!`

  `Assertion 0 failed in kiss_ghtab_LPB.c:<N>`
* The `$FWDIR/log/fwk.elg` file also contains these messages:

  `[dev_thread_0];[<N>];fwk_dmd_connect_socket: failed to connect to socket: /dev/dmd_vs_socket, vs:0, fwk_dmd_vs_socket_fd:-1, attempt: 10`

  `[dev_thread_0];[<N>];fwk_dmd_crash_recovery: connect to socket failed for vs 0, resched to the next second`

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
