# sk183533 - Cyrillic characters authentication in Remote Access VPN

## Symptoms

- * Passwords containing Cyrillic characters cannot be changed or used successfully via Endpoint VPN client.
* When attempting to change the password, after entering the old password and a new one containing Cyrillic characters, one of the following may occur:
  * An error appears stating that the password could not be changed.
  * The system confirms the password was changed successfully, but the new password does not work for VPN connections.
  * Even if the password change is successful, the new password is not accepted during login.

## Cause

Remote Access client doesn't support Cyrillic characters for authentication.
