# sk183532 - REDIS API Process Failure in Gaia on VSX

## Symptoms

- * Running diagnostic commands (for example, cpinfo) on Virtual System 7 returns the error: `_init_vs_env: failed to move set context`
* You cannot collect diagnostic information using cpinfo on the affected Virtual System.
* System logs show repeated stopping and starting of API-related processes, specifically REDIS and CELERY.
* The REDIS API process is stopped and does not start, as confirmed by API status checks.
* No impact to network traffic, but diagnostic and support operations are hindered.

## Cause

The issue is caused by a failure of the REDIS process within the Gaia Application Programming Interface (API) subsystem.
