## Symptoms

## Cause

**Overview**

Check Point utilizes various tools and frameworks to collect and analyze performance statistics on its platforms. Two key components in this context are the CPView tool and the "`asg perf`" command (on Scalable Platforms), each relying on different data sources for their operation.

**Deprecation of SecureXL statistics**

During the transition of the SecureXL from the Kernel Mode (KPPAK) to the User Mode (UPPAK), collection of SecureXL-based statistics was deprecated. As a result, tools relying solely on SecureXL (such as the "`asg perf`" command) may present incomplete or outdated statistics when SecureXL works in the UPPAK mode.

CPView continues to function effectively, because it does not depend on SecureXL and leverages modern data collection mechanisms compatible with the SecureXL UPPAK mode.

## Solution

### In versions R82 and higher with SecureXL in the UPPAK mode

Use these tools:

* CPview ([sk101878](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk101878))
* Skyline ([sk178566](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk178566))
* The "`insights`" command (see the [Scalable Platforms Administration Guide](https://support.checkpoint.com/product/520#f-commonsource=C.%20Documentation) for your version)

Note - Starting in the R82 version, the "`asg perf`" command was deprecated (see the [R82 Release Notes \> Chapter "Software Changes"](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R82/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R82_RN/Content/Topics-RN/Software-Changes.htm#Quantum_Maestro,_Scalable_Chassis,_and_ElasticXL)).
